How does RFID Essentials deliver better learning?

Learner directed

RFID Essentials puts you, the learner, squarely in charge of your learning experience. Course 1, Introduction to RFID, offers:

Convenient access and self-pacing

  • Since RFID Essentials is available 24 x 7 over the Web, you can proceed at your own pace and schedule, from the convenience of your office, home, or favorite coffee shop.

Content appropriate to your experience level

  • The course has been tested extensively to ensure that it is accessible and informative to individuals with no prior experience with RFID or wireless technology.  At the same time, individuals with intermediate knowledge can explore numerous sections containing optional, advanced content to build on that knowledge.
  • Depending on your objectives, you can focus solely on “the basics” (a seven- to eight-hour experience, including the final exam) or explore more advanced material by reviewing the “In-depth” sections (which together constitute at least two more hours).

“Personally, I’m always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.”
-Winston Churchill

Numerous opportunities to test your understanding

  • Each module contains numerous exercises and questions on the basic material, so you can verify your understanding.
  • Material in the module is presented in small “chunks” for easy review and better comprehension.

Final exam tailored to your objectives

  • You have the option to take the final exam up to three times.
  • The exam is comprised of simulations and questions categorized as “Basic” and “Advanced.”  Basic questions constitute the majority of points.  Optional, "Advanced" questions are drawn from “In-depth” sections.
  • If you obtain 80 percent of the “Basic” points, you will receive a Certificate of Completion of RFID Essentials.  If you obtain 80 percent of both “Basic” and “Advanced” points, you will receive a Certificate of Mastery of RFID Essentials that recognizes that accomplishment as well.
  • You are apprised of your score immediately, including questions you did not answer correctly.  If you don’t pass, you may take the examination two more times, each time with a new set of questions.  If your employer is to be informed of your score, only the score of the last exam you took will be reported.

Flexible, user-friendly navigation

  • A complete course syllabus is provided for all nine modules in the course, facilitating access to and review of content.
  • You can access the modules as they are sequenced, or, if you prefer, in a different order.
  • Each module is easy to navigate: a Topic Menu on each screen enables you to skip around if you wish, and to review selected topics.
  • Course screens are large and easy to see, speeding comprehension.

Technical support, if you need it

  • Customer-friendly utility on RFID Essentials registration page to ensure that your system and settings will provide for a successful course experience.
  • Technical support regarding course access and navigation provided to all subscribers via e-mail and telephone, on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.
